Training & onboarding

Training that lives where your team already works.

Knowledge Paths for structured learning. Quizzes for assessment. Read Acknowledgements for compliance. All inside the same knowledge base your team uses every day, not in a separate LMS that gets ignored after week one.

Training that lives in a separate system gets read once and forgotten.

A traditional LMS is a Tuesday morning chore. New starter logs in, clicks through some slides, takes a quiz, never goes back. A month later when they need to remember the process, the LMS isn't where they look. They go to the KB, the wiki, or a colleague.

The result: training material that nobody references after onboarding, and reference content that nobody bothered to use for training. Two systems, two sets of content, two maintenance burdens.

The fix is to make the place you train people the same place they work daily.

Training built into the knowledge base, not bolted on.

KnowledgeScout has training as a first-class feature, not a separate module. Knowledge Paths are ordered learning journeys made of articles, presentations, and other content. Quizzes assess understanding. Read Acknowledgements track who's reviewed which policies. Presentations deliver slide-style training inside the platform without exporting to PowerPoint.

A new starter onboards by working through a Knowledge Path. They read articles, watch presentations, take any self-test quizzes the path author included, acknowledge the policies that need acknowledging. If the path includes a Knowledge Path Assessment at the end, they sit it with AI tools blocked, and a pass confirms they actually absorbed the material. Once the path is done, the content doesn't disappear into an LMS archive. It stays in the KB as ongoing reference, exactly where they'll go looking when they need to remember it.

Same place to learn it, same place to look it up later.

Two training jobs, one platform

Onboarding

Get new starters productive faster

Build a Knowledge Path for a role. Order the articles, presentations, and quizzes a new starter needs. Set assessments as gates so they have to demonstrate understanding before unlocking later modules or accessing a category. Track each starter's progress to competency, in real time.

Ongoing & compliance

Keep policies acknowledged, refreshers fresh

Mark required-reading articles for compliance. Re-trigger acknowledgement when a policy materially changes. Build refresher Knowledge Paths for product launches, regulatory updates, or annual training. The same engine, repurposed for ongoing rather than one-time use.

The article types that make up training

Knowledge Paths

An ordered sequence of articles, presentations, and self-test quizzes. Path authors can add an optional custom Knowledge Path Assessment at the end — AI is blocked during it, so a pass means real learning. Per-user progress tracking. Re-triggerable for refresher courses.

Quizzes

Two flavours. Regular Quiz articles sit anywhere as standalone checks or as self-test inside a path, AI tools available. Knowledge Path Assessments are an optional custom assessment at the end of a path, with AI blocked, used to gate path completion. Configurable pass score, retry policy, results recorded per user.

Read Acknowledgements

Mark articles as required reading. Track who's read them, with date stamps. Re-trigger acknowledgement when content changes materially. Compliance-ready by default.

Presentations

Slide-style training delivered in the platform, not exported to PowerPoint. Searchable slide-by-slide alongside articles. Embed inside Knowledge Paths or stand on their own.

Guided Workflows

Step-by-step branching processes for complex tasks. Useful as practice exercises in onboarding, or as live decision-support tools after the new starter goes operational.

Standard articles

The baseline article type. Most of your training content lives here, with rich formatting, FAQs, collapsible sections, and embedded media. Used standalone or as nodes in a path.

Training data that's actually useful, not just exportable.

Every Knowledge Path tracks completion per user. Every Quiz tracks score per user. Every Read Acknowledgement tracks who acknowledged what and when. All visible to admins in real time, all exportable for audit.

For regulated industries, this is your audit trail. Show a regulator exactly which staff acknowledged which version of a policy on which date. For ops leaders, this is your competency dashboard. See who's ready to take live calls and who needs another round of practice.

Who this is for

Contact centres training new agents

Knowledge Paths plus an optional Knowledge Path Assessment (AI blocked) plus mid-call search. Get agents to competency faster, with real evidence they're ready before they go live. Contact centre solution →

Regulated industries with compliance training

Read Acknowledgements with audit trail, re-triggerable on policy changes. Show a regulator exactly who confirmed they'd reviewed which policy on which date.

Fast-growing teams onboarding constantly

When you're hiring more than once a month, the onboarding programme has to be self-serve. Knowledge Paths give you a defined sequence each new starter follows without sucking up team time.

L&D teams running in-house training

Stop maintaining slides on a separate platform that nobody re-opens. Build training in the same KB people already use. Higher engagement, less duplication.

Why KnowledgeScout for training

1.

Same place to learn it, same place to look it up later

Once a path is complete, the content doesn't disappear into an LMS archive. It stays in the KB as ongoing reference. The investment in writing the training material doesn't depreciate the moment onboarding ends.

2.

No separate LMS subscription

All training features are included on every plan, including Startup. No per-learner pricing, no separate seat licence, no tier-locked training capabilities.

3.

Audit trail built for regulators

Every acknowledgement, every quiz score, every path completion is logged with date and version of the content. Show a regulator what a specific staff member confirmed on a specific date with a specific version of the policy.

4.

AI helps build the content

The AI Writer drafts articles for the path. The Workflow Builder uses AI to draft step-by-step processes. Building a training programme is a fraction of the work it used to be.

Common questions

How is this different from a separate LMS?

A traditional LMS is a separate system your team logs into for training, then logs out of for everything else. The training material lives apart from the daily-reference content. KnowledgeScout puts training inside the same knowledge base your team uses every day. Same login, same search, same articles. Once a path is complete, the content stays available as ongoing reference rather than disappearing into LMS-archive purgatory.

What is a Knowledge Path?

A Knowledge Path is an ordered sequence of articles, presentations, and self-test quizzes that a learner works through. Path authors can add an optional custom Knowledge Path Assessment at the end. When included, AI tools are blocked during the assessment, so a pass means real learning rather than a chatbot lookup, and path completion is gated on passing. Use Knowledge Paths for new-starter onboarding, role-based training, compliance refreshers, or any structured learning journey. Completion is tracked per learner, and the content stays browsable in the KB after the path is done.

Can I track who's completed which paths and quizzes?

Yes. Per-user completion tracking on Knowledge Paths, quiz results recorded per user with score and date, read acknowledgements logged against each policy document. All exportable for audit, all visible to admins in real time.

Can I require an assessment before someone takes a live call or accesses sensitive content?

Yes. Add an optional custom Knowledge Path Assessment to the end of any path. Set a minimum pass score, and path completion (plus any role or category access tied to it) only opens when the learner passes. AI tools are blocked during the assessment, so passing is genuine evidence they learnt it — not just that they had a chatbot answering for them. The assessment is optional per path; leave it off for paths that don't need a competency check.

What article types are included in training?

Knowledge Paths (ordered learning journeys), Presentations (in-platform slide decks), Quizzes (custom assessments with multiple question types), Guided Workflows (step-by-step branching processes for complex tasks), and Read Acknowledgements (track who's reviewed required content). All available on every plan.

Which plans include the training features?

All article types — Knowledge Paths, Presentations, Quizzes, Guided Workflows — and Read Acknowledgements are included on every plan, including Startup. There's no separate LMS subscription, no per-learner pricing, no tier-locked training features.

One platform. Train them. Reference it. Audit it.

Training built into the knowledge base. Included on every plan. No separate LMS, no per-learner fees.
